Jacaranda mimosifolia is the common specie in Florida. But this Jacaranda has much larger flowers and very shinny leaves. In the picture the leaves look like a fern. Unlike most of the other Jacarandas, this tree bloomed when very small and puts on a great show. I did this months theme picture in March.
