It Was One Of The Oldest Houses In Town.

It was really very pretty. The old building of 2000 square feet is on the left side Now the builder has enlarged by another 2000 square feet. It looks nice, but I prefer the old house.

Wow The Ae Ae Bananas Are Blooming All Over The Garden

The three plants are 14 months old, very young plants to produce fruit. On the other side of the garden there is one more that is blooming, but it's two years old. The Ae Ae banana is very hard to grow for most people. I have had it for 45+ years.

Spanish moss (Tillandsia usneoides)

Spanish moss grows north and south of us, but it doesn't grow in Coral Gables. The moss will grow here, but it will not have any seeds. That means that people or birds must place the plant in the tree.

Ibis Covers The Green

Three years ago I saw the first ibis in Coral Gables. I know that there was a group in north Miami but no others in the area. We always had them in the Florida Keys. Now we have them all over the place. It must be the heat. The University of Miami thinks a lot about the Ibis, take a look.
