I have grown Desert Roses for 45 years. Take a look at one of my old ones. In the last 5 years we can know get new variates, just like some orchids, They are no longer expensive and they are found in many of the big box stores.

A month ago this bromiliad was just plain green. It grows on our avocado tree.

When the blue flowers open the green leaves turn red.

The Coral Gables Orchid Society Had An Open House Today

The first house had 2 fantastic greenhouses. This one had all sorts of orchids and many were in full bloom.

The second green house was filled with blooming Vanda orchids.

The second house has a collection of animals.

This fancy machinery sat there for 5 hours, while 3 men with a latter trimmed the palms in the back yard.
