Our winter temperatures were colder then normal and the bougainvillea flowers are much more brilliant then normal.

The local high school band was there. We walked to the market along with a lot of others. There were a lot of bikers and dogs all over the place. The entire market was Green.

The Red-tailed hawks are common but this albino is very rare. The bird stayed in that tree for over an hour.

One Of Our Stone Houses

The rock for this house was taken from a pit across the street. When the pit was big enough, the city made it into a pool. A pit in the middle of the city would not be very interesting. Many visitors come to see the pool just to see the beauty and not to swim.

Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden has some new art that caught my eye. I think I like the pond better with out the art.

Apartments or condos can not be built in the middle of a residential area. Sometimes the zoning line is in the middle of the block. This new building has built as close to that line as they could.

The oak trees were there before the road. It doesn't look like any cars ever hit the trees.

The property is a forest of palms and a very nice regular house stuck in the middle.

Fixing The Venetian Pool Once Again

The Venetian Pool was closed last year to fix to pool. It looks like they are doing the same thing this year.

There is only one little growth since December. About 70% of the growth has died away.

The Alhambra Water Tower

The city no longer uses this tower for water. We keep it there because it looks good.

This Croton Came Through The Cold Weather

This year is the first time that I saw damage on crotons from cold weather in Coral Gables. One died and the others lost most of there leaves. But this one looks like nothing happened.

A Fixer Up

The house has been for sale for years. It was empty most of the time and a bite rundown. Last year the owner painted the outside of the house. The problem might be that the land is more valuable then the house.
